Benefits of PRJC Membership
You will receive a copy of the club's highly-regarded jazz newsletter,
Tailgate Ramblings with articles and pictures about upcoming and
recent PRJC events, news of PRJC members and the club's affiliated bands,
articles about traditional jazz artists--past and present, the very popular
"All That Jazz" page which provides a comprehensive
listing of all live trad jazz and ragtime music happenings in the
Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area, and other jazz news of
interest to members. Members may also place jazz-related
advertisements in the TR at 20% off the regular rates--and 2
small ads per year are free!
You get reduced-price admittance to
PRJC-sponsored events, usually at $5 off the regular price. All
events feature one or more live jazz bands with dancing and
refreshments available for purchase.
You will have access to a huge stock of jazz
recordings for sale by the club at most PRJC events. Many of these
LPs, tapes and CDs have been donated by PRJC members and are
available at very reasonable prices.
You will be a member of one of the largest and
most active traditional jazz societies in the country and be in the
company of like-minded jazz fans who are lively and friendly and
share your love of one of America's original art forms.
